Considering Starting a Business - The List

I think when starting a business, its essential you write down a list of things to do, and tick them off and make notes as you go along. Feel free to add to the list, please bare in mind it is a general list, to try and cover as broad range of businesses as possible.

Research competition online
Research competition offline
Are grants available
Where you are going to sell
Open a twitter account
Open a Facebook account
In person networking
Business cards and leaflets
Get yourself a web presence/email - @hotmail @gmail are often offputting
Advertise in yellow pages
Get a contact phone number
Test run phone calls with friends
Spare money - often money is tight in the first few months, can you afford to live
Backup suppliers

Feel free to add, I have just literally spent a couple of mins doing this

I started my own business back in May 2012 didnt do any of the above lol i put the feelers out and it went boom now 8 months on i have a team of 3 plus mayslef....I will not lie money is tight but im not planning on giving up i use a lot of social networking sites to advertise as well as my website.
Iwent for it its been tough but i will honestly say if your thinking of starting up go for it I DID!!!
